Alain Antonio, grandson of Chang Chio Te and EVACF Vice President, has just made his annual visit to the Aeta community nurturing the school constructed in memory of his beloved grandmother. The trip involves 4 wheel drive vehicle, boat and carabao cart and he was accompanied by Long & Terrie Nguyen from the US Embassy and Greg Mable from Rustan's Commercial Corp.

On 27 August the Chang Chio Te Memorial Aeta School in Bgy. Aglao, San Marcelino, Zambales was opened in the precence of EVACF volunteer Alain Antonio. Alain's grandmother Chang Chio Te died, aged 93, on March 2003. She loved children and so Alain, her family and friends plus EVA volunteers and NCIP set about funding and creating a school for the 80 children studying under a mango tree. 3 hours of smooth road, 2 hours of rough road, 15 minutes banca boat-ride and 45 minutes carabao cart ride and Alain arrived to see the three room multi grade elementary school wth lovely garden, efficient Parent-Teacher Association, clever teachers and exited children. The two toilets were visited before the ceremonies began.

On 15th June 2006, Alain Antonio, now the Vice President of EVACF, handed over school supplies to the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) Service Center, Chief Larvin Villanueva & staff. Witnessing the event is Project Coordinator Catherine D. Ramos (2nd from right) with the Regional Director Salong M. Sunggod (extreme right), and representatives from the International School of Manila, Alyssa Duncan and Nelli.
