MMQ school 2010

Manuele Cavalli-Sforza last year raised funds for his project "Light Up a School- Light Up a Life". The project, which aims to bring clean and safe solar electricity to remote Aeta Schools (TOE2S) They now have one beautiful brand new computer up and running with lots of educational programs that Manuele installed and a full Microsoft Office etc. Unfortunately the second solar battery had a glitch but hoping to be fully functioning soon. We aim to inaugurate this project in March, this gives time to use the equipment and begin to teach at least the graduating class basic computer skills. We will be having evaluation visits regularly to understand if the equipment is benificial; to pupils. This school is in is in a beautiful place which is a pleasure to visit, all be it a bit difficult sleeping over for days in terms of food water bedding etc but its been a very worthwhile adventure. At the same time we were able to deliver some Christmas presents.
More updates later.
