These items are also supportive of indigenous people communities and other disadvantaged groups.

Ambassador Inger Ultvedt (in pink) and staff of the Embassy of Sweden in the Philippines presented a donation towards costs of the March presidential gathering of TOE2S nurturing communities entitled "Towards Happy TOE2S capability building". This is an extremely important gathering as the training provided at this event ensures proper maintenance and development of the schools and the teachers in remote settlements. Without this training the schools could fall into disrepair and new ideas would not be shared.

This describes the work of our charity from 1991 to the present. We provided a guided tour through our new CD, prepared in collaboration with BSM students. As this was the first showing we thank the Manila Women's Forum for the chance to soft launch the presentation. It was well received. The evening was brightened by the carols and dancing from the Kanlungan sa Er-ma children (one of the groups "Under EVA's umbrella). As you can see from the photos we were ably supported by not only the hard workers in the kitchen but also our very own barman.

November News - DOTC In search of gifts that give.
DOTC low res logo used to idetify with a generous corporately responsible supporting organisation

Seeking Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) compliant yet uniquely Philippine made gifts, the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) GOOGLED! Undersecretary Elena A. Bautista was thrilled to find the EVACF website and its Mt. Pinatubo Ashglaze Stoneware fundraisers. She visited the charity and was impressed by the stoneware's presentation, exceptional high quality and its role in "helping Mt. Pinatubo's people to help themselves and others". She had indeed found exactly what was needed to give to her guests who are international guests attending events in London and Manila. Undersecretary Bautista was very pleased. By purchasing she could not only thrill her guests with beautiful, genuine Philippine made gifts but at the same time help post disaster recovery efforts and conserve part of the country's unique heritage: the AETA people.
AMAZINGLY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.
Thank you DOTC for being a socialy responsible organisation. We look forward to a long relationship with you.

Pampanga Trip, September 6th, 2007
Jenny , Susan Garcia, Raffy Guilliermo and Edi Lbanez went to Pampanga via Bacalor, Megadike road, Sitio Monicayao and finally onto the Maganday Nobokah AETA School. They had a great day, met the new teacher, met AETA livelihood loan fund participants and a pig purchased by one of the EVACF loans. They then went to the Standard Chartered Bank AETA SChool where they found a school brinning over with busy teachers, parents and children. A great variety of activites were happening. Children doing classes, learning how to plant, sweeping the classroom and smiling a lot. The great news is that Manila Standard Chartered Bank and its Korean countergroup are now VERY ACTIVE in the life of the school. More visits to Livelihood loan projects, scholarships in the NCIP RIII and then exhausted to home.

Imagine our delight when we received this from Christine Purka…

"This past weekend we hosted a birthday party for our three year old son Dylan.  I hope you don't mind but I wanted to invite his guests to bring school supplies to donate rather than gifts for Dylan.  Attached is a copy of his invitation.  I have always admired the work that you do so we decided to include EVA Foundation as one of the charities.

So I have a box of supplies that we would like to bring down to you. I figured the timing might be good with all the kids heading back to school."
