Plans for 2010 EVACF visits
 
   EVACF VISITS, SPRING 2010, General Information
An invitation to all EVACF members ,donors and their friends to participate in visits to the teamsters and beneficiaries in the "Pinatubo" Region3. All these planned visits are relatively easy to reach and are in safe areas.  
  INSTRUCTIONS FOR EVERY TRIP:
JOINING THE TRIP:contact 7days in advance via <evacf_org @yahoo.com
                            inform whether you have /will need transport
                            notify if you are forced to cancel
TRANSPORT: make your own way to the meeting point in Manila. If you then share a ride then do please remember to share petrol and toll costs .
DEPARTURE TIMES: distances are long so do be punctual as times given are strictly enforced.
DEPARTURE MEETING PLACE: all visits depart from Holy Trinity Church compound carpark (AWCP &  In  Touch Offices are there) at 48 McKinley Road ,Forbes Park. 
FOOD & WATER :always bring water. If you are a nibbler then bring those. Bring money for lunch.
DRESSCODE: modest tidy & jeans are fine .
GIFTS: when visiting schools you can enjoy treating the children if you wish by giving healthy goodies (candy rots teeth and produces litter!) or books/pens/pencils etc or ---a great hit-----BALLS!! Classes are about 50 children !

VISIT  TOPIC:Aeta Schools (TOE2S)--visit two schools
                    Maganday Nobokah--Pampanga
                    Standard Chartered(SCB)--Tarlac
                    Lunchbreak at Holiday Inn
                    Bacolor Church in the lahar
DURATION:all day. Return c5.00pm

DATE&TIME:Tue 26 January 10.30am
VISIT TOPIC:Studio Potters home of Mt.Pinatubo Ashglazed Stoneware
                  Studio Potters to see the process
                  Crescent Moon Cafe for lunch and shopping
                  Hairy Potters Garden for contemplation,relaxation and perhaps a chance to feed the carp
COST cP300 for food +cost of drinks+SHOPPING(WARNING.There's lots of temptation)
DURATION :back in Manila by c2.00pm or you can choose to stay longer.

                 THE VISITS-----FEBRUARY
DATE&TIME: Tue 2 Feb  7.00am
VISIT TOPIC:SACOP&EVACF Livelihood Loanfund for Women
                   Visit the Social Action Center of Pampanga for an overview of the project.
                   Visit 5current beneficiaries & 1 previous beneficiary
                   Lunch as advised by SACOP.
                   Possibly SHOPPING----lots of Pampanga yummies.
DURATION:all day .Back in Manila c5.00pm

DATE&TIME: Tue 16 Feb  7.00am
VISIT TOPIC: NCIP&EVACF Livelihood Loanfund for IP(Indigenous People)Women
                  Visit the National Commision on Indigenous People (NCIP) Region3 Main Office for an overview of
                  the project.
                 Visit 5current & 1 previous beneficiary.
                 Lunch as advised by NCIP
                 Possibly SHOPPING---temptation is everywhere!
DURATION: all day.Back in Manila c5.00pm

                 THE VISITS-----MARCH

DATE&TIME: Tue 9 Mar  7.00am
VISIT TOPIC:Workvisit to NCIP R3 & possibly meet a scolarship beneficiary/tribal leader of a TOE2S Aeta
                   community.
                  Follow up progress of the latest TOE2S school construction.
                  Visit Bacolor &the church in the lahar
                  Workvisit to SACOP to collect progress reports on the livelihood fund.
                 Lunch as we decide----usually at McDonalds !!

                   Maybe more SHOPPING temptation ?!
DURATION: short day & try to be back by 3.00pm



ADDITIONAL VISITS to remote TOE2S will be announced but the dangerous terrain and distances involved make these all "weather sensitive". Individuals can join in on visits made by NCIP officers to these places  remembering that this will involve writing a short report with photographs  for the EVACF website

and remembering to pay expenses as NCIP is on a small ,tight budget.
