The John Zate Memorial AETA School

Toyota Motors (Philis) sponsored the 2005 opening of the John Zate Memorial Aeta School in Tarukan and the official handover of the Viking Aeta School in Sitio Alunan both in Sta. Juliana by sending their 4 Wheel Drive Team of volunteers and vehicles which enabled officials to reach the site.

2006 News - There are now three teachers, two of which are AETA. The community had constructed make-shift classrooms for grade three and four but the recent typhoon Milenyo destroyed these and they are in desperate need of new buildings. .

The Toyota Team is seen here with officials of the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) Region 3 and volunteers of the EVACF who worked together to bring the schools to the Aeta villagers after they had requested a TOE²S facility.
